My brother wrote me a comment in my last post saying how big Will is getting. He looks like he's 4, he said. It's true that he is a little bigger for his age, but my brother just had a baby! So the comparison when you are staring at a tiny newborn to a 20-month-old kid is pretty drastic. Will is 20 months old today. And he is still in the period of life where he is equal parts adorable and driving me crazy. He is talking a lot, as usual, but some of his words are often only distinguishable to Aaron and I. Here are a few of his translations:

"Peew = Pillow
"Ga-Ga" (said with the sign language sign) = All done, or All gone
"Doddy" = Froggy
"Pee-Boo" = Pooh Bear
"Cose!" = Close
"Col-ie" = Color
"Peese" =Pleas
"Choo" = Shoe
That's all I can think of right now. He is also the Police of Things That Are Not As They Should Be. He will say "Uh-oh!" over and over until the lights are turned on the Christmas Tree or both bedroom lamps are turned on or if something is plugged in and shouldn't be. He also says "Cose!" over and over until the lid on the ketchup bottle or the lid to the baby wipes, etc. is closed. But he is getting better at sharing and loves to hit and then kiss it better. He usually folds his arms for prayers and says Amen.

One thing I am really happy about is his sleeping right now. He goes to bed at around 7:30 and sleeps usually until at least 9 am. And he still will nap for about 2 hours during the day. Don't go changing that, Will. One thing I am not as happy about is his horrible eating habits. He's actually much better at home, but when we're on vacation he is usually too distracted to have to actually SIT and EAT real food. If there is candy, he is first in line. Thank goodness his vitamins taste like candy.

Overall, he is a great kid and a great helper to his parents. His regular chores include emptying the clothes from the dryer into the basket, helping me put away his clean clothes or putting his dirties into his hamper. He is good at putting things either in the garbage or in the sink and always plugs in the Christmas tree lights for us (and then unplugs and plugs and unplugs again.)
Happy 20th, Will.

Love the faux-hawk. He does look so much older now! He is losing the baby face.
I laughed at the hitting & then kissing it better. Sound like an abusive boyfriend.
Wow. He's already 20, I can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday he was a 12-year old passing the sacrament.
Wow he does look older than a 20 month old! He is such a cutie. I hope you are all doing well!
Already 20?! Will, you don't look a day over 2!
(Remember your favorite uncle: Brian.)
