The White Coat Ceremony

I'm not sure if all dental schools do this, but Aaron's ASDOH Class of 2012 started off their dental school career by reciting an oath and receiving their white coat at the White Coat Ceremony. It was fun to go to this and be a part of it. I was so proud of Aaron and all the hard work he has put forth to get this far. Here he is receiving his coat.
Well there you have it folks. My man is now officially in the health professions field. The White Coat Ceremony was good, the dean of ASDOH seems like a very nice guy with a thick New York accent and a bushy white beard.
There was also a blessing by an associate dean who is a Native American and he gave an Indian blessing.

Then some lady from Baylor who is on the board of ASDOH gave the keynote speech. Finally they called each student up one by one and gave them their coat and had them take a picture with the Vice Dean and then shake the Dean's hand. Afterward they all stood up and recited the oath.
Anyway, it was a nice way to start off dental school. So far Aaron really enjoys it. He is the type of person who loves to have good friends with him at school and seeing as there are only about 60 students in the class and they'll be together every day, all day for 4 years, I think it will be a great experience.

The whole class. I couldn't seem to be able to get a picture without the photographer in the way.

Aaron's First Day in scrubs. Don't you just wanna pinch those cute cheeks?!
