Seeing as we're moving in a week and need to fit everything we own into a tiny truck, we decided to buy a bunch of new stuff. Our new favorite store: RC Willey Scratch 'n' Dent. Today we went there with a $170 gift card (from a previous purchase) in search of new nightstands. Until now we have been using TV trays with black table cloths draped over them. However, with Will learning how to crawl and pull table cloths in the near future, we knew we had to replace them with real ones. In addition, we needed to buy another dresser for Aaron since he's been cramming his clothes into little tiny plastic Walmart 'dressers' (that's a lot of adjectives.) We're proud to say that we got two nightstands and a new dresser for $100 (after using the gift card) so really we would have paid about $250..which is still a bargain for three quality items like we got.
Well here's a kicker: the dresser had a broken drawer and the nightstands aren't exactly nightstands. Aaron, being the aspiring handy man that he is (being inspired by Nate's story of hand carving part of his new renovations in his house) fixed the drawer. As for the non-nightstands, they are two two-drawer units (basically two boxes with drawers) without a top or feet. So our new challenge is to built tops for them and put feet on them. But we are excited for this challenge and have a good idea in mind of what we want to do. Bear in mind that we are planning on doing this in the next couple of days before we move! I will post some before and after pictures once we finish.

Hee hee. My nightstands are actually jewelry stands (the kind that come up to your tummy and have necklace holders and jewelry drawers inside). We took off the legs and they are perfect nightstands. Make it work!
