A Templing We Will Go

So Aaron's Temple interview went really well and he feels very confident that he got accepted. He was in a group interview that was supposed to last for an hour but it only lasted a half hour and the interviewer was supposedly this strict guy who rips into any weak area an applicant might have. However, he didn't have any bad things to say to Aaron's group and that's why they got out early. Aaron asked the guy why they got out early and he said not to worry and that they all had really high scores. So that's good news. Also, we were a little worried that this interview would be a waste of money because we hadn't heard many good things about it. However, Aaron learned that Temple is located in a poorer area of Philly because they want to serve the underserved people in Philly and give them cheaper oral healthcare. Also, it's really good practice for being a dentist because it's basically like having your own practice from the very beginning: you have to bill your patients and call them for appointments and everything. So Temple is great for serving the poor and getting a lot of practice and being very prepared to open your own practice when you get out. We still feel that Temple would be a backup school, but it might not be a bad place to go because we could easily get scholarships as well. Aaron has an interview with Creighton next week and then it's our fun fun drive to Arizona and back in two days.
